The North Umpqua River
The 2019 NFS Gathering
Native Fish Society is excited to announce that our 2019 Gathering on the North Umpqua River will be open to all NFS members, volunteers, and their families! So mark your calendars and get ready for a weekend of connection, community, and wild fish education!
Fall is a fantastic time to be on the North Umpqua with the foliage just beginning to change to red and yellow hues, and the last of the summer steelhead making their migration to the upper tributaries. We promise an awesome weekend camping out and sharing big fish stories around the fire. We'll also have opportunities to learn and grow as native fish advocates and will offer opportunities to see some of the Umpqua's hidden gems. And rumor has it there will be a huge game of kickball to round out the fun!
We will be camping outside and this event is family-friendly. NFS will provide food, drink, and the space to camp and congregate, so pack up the tent and hit the road!
We do not have a capacity limit for this event, so if you have friends or family interested in being River Stewards, Native Fish Fellows, or learning more about our work, please bring them along! There are also some local lodging options available if you prefer to make your own arrangements, and we will send out more details about the event logistics in an upcoming email.
Not yet an NFS member or volunteer but want to come to the 2019 Gathering? There's a simple solution --- become an NFS member today. For as little as a $25 membership donation, you can support NFS' work to restore wild, abundant fish and join us for a fish and fun-filled weekend.
RSVP by September 6. Hope to see you there!
