On March 24th, Oregon’s environmental community is going to make a big, virtual splash! It’s a virtual grassroots lobby day with Oregon lawmakers! Can you join us? It’s a chance to meet with your lawmakers and make a lasting impact on them; a chance to tell your story, and urge them to make the environment a priority during the legislative session.
We are joining with our partners at the Oregon League of Conservation Voters (OLCV) and the more than 30 other organizations that make up the Oregon Conservation Network (OCN) for this big virtual lobby day. Together, we’ll advocate for the top environmental priorities facing lawmakers in Salem right now: the Oregon Clean Energy Opportunity (including the bill for 100% Clean Energy), eliminating the Oregon Forest Resources Institute (the timber industry’s propaganda machine), smart wildfire legislation, and ensuring necessary funding for our natural resource agencies. We will also be a voice to stop any bad environmental bills from passing like HB2610 which would gut Oregon's fish passage law!

The Virtual Clean Green Lobby Machine Returns (via Zoom) to Support 2021 Priorities for a Healthy Oregon
Date: Wednesday, March 24th
Time: 9:30am to 5pm (meetings likely to end earlier)
Optional Celebration Happy Hour: 5pm-6pm
Place: Zoom (meeting info will be sent to RSVPs a few days prior)
For the safety of all involved and to properly follow State Health guidelines, the entirety of the OLCV/OCN Lobby Day will be held virtually via video conferencing. There will be plenty of breaks throughout the day. Plus, you can participate from the comfort of your own home!
Lobby Day will begin with guest speakers in the morning followed by a quick training and legislative briefing. In the afternoon, you’ll have a chance to sit down (virtually) and talk with your lawmakers about OCN’s 2021 Priorities for a Healthy Oregon. The session is heating up and we need your help to get these pro-environment bills passed!
Meeting with the people who were elected to represent you lets you connect with them on a human level. Lobby day is also a great way to come together (virtually) with others who care about the environment and Oregon’s future generations as much as you do. It’s a time to stand up for what we believe in. And, above all, it’s a time to make our voices heard.
