Lunch & Learn Recording: Wild Fish For All Scholarship featuring 2022 winner, Maria Karuvilla

Posted:

Native Fish Society's Lunch & Learn series presents an array of topics related to fish conservation and recovery in the Pacific Northwest.

In this episode, NFS is joined by the Tualatin Valley Chapter of Trout Unlimited to share about this year's Wild Fish For All Scholarship opportunity, which supports the work of BIPOC students in fisheries conservation through academic scholarships.

We detail how folks can apply now and share some exciting news about what's in store this fall for our next round of scholarships.

We then turn it over to Maria--a graduate student at the University of Washington and 2022 winner of the WFFA Scholarship--who shares her research on the impacts of hatchery releases on the outmigration time of wild salmon smolts.
