Native Fish Society is excited to announce that our 2025 Volunteer Gathering will be held at Left Coast Lodge in Sisters, OR from Friday, April 25th through Sunday, April 27th — and you’re invited to join us!

So mark your calendars and prepare for a weekend of connection, community, wild fish education, and most of all - fun!

  • When: Evening of Friday, April 25th - late morning, Sunday, April 27th, 2025

  • Where: Left Coast Lodge | 511 W Cascade Ave, Sisters, OR 97759

  • Who: NFS Staff, Volunteers, Fellows, and River Stewards are all welcome to join! (*Friends and family may also be able to join, space depending. Stay tuned!)

  • What: We promise an awesome weekend sharing big fish stories around the fire and connecting with fellow river stewards and volunteers in beautiful Sisters, OR! We'll also have chances to learn and grow as native fish advocates and will offer opportunities to see some of Central Oregon's hidden gems.

NFS will provide lodging expenses, meals, and fun activities - so pack up your gear and join us for a weekend to remember!

Food & Drink: NFS will provide dinners and lunches for the weekend –– so come hungry! We'll also have plenty of non-alcoholic beverages available, and you're welcome to bring your own drinks (alcoholic or otherwise) –– just please consume responsibly. Note: Breakfast will be on your own for at least one morning. Most rooms have kitchenettes, so feel free to bring your own breakfast items and snacks, or explore some of the nearby delicious dining options in Sisters!

Facilities & Lodging: We’re excited to host this year’s gathering at Left Coast Lodge, a laid-back, adventure-friendly retreat in the heart of Sisters, OR. The lodge features cozy indoor accommodations and covered communal spaces, so we will be able to stay comfortable no matter the weather.

RSVP ASAP: RV/Camper space (10 remaining), and indoor lodging (15 remaining) will be available. Please make a note in your RSVP with your intended/preferred lodging option, as each space is limited.

General Outline of Activities:

  • Friday evening: Dinner and evening campfire social time!

  • Saturday morning: Learn and connect –– regional staff and volunteers will share what's happening in their neck of the woods.

  • Saturday afternoon: Field trip to the Metolius River for an inside look into the ending of hatchery trout stocking, and returning the Metolius to an all-wild river –– or choose your own Sisters-area adventure!

  • Saturday evening: Trivia (with prizes!) and campfire social time

  • Sunday morning: Visit to a restoration site on Whychus Creek (just a 5-minute drive from the lodge) before departure
