Kayla Lockhart Joins the Native Fish Society Board of Directors

Posted:

The Native Fish Society welcomes Kayla Lockhart to our board of directors. Kayla first discovered fly fishing to help cope with her depression and anxiety from a difficult upbringing.

Today fly fishing has not only given her the tools to help heal on the water, but has taken her around the globe in pursuit of some of the most remarkable species of fish and the adventures that come with that pursuit.

In between these trips, Kayla assists with conservation efforts, advocating for a more inclusive space within the sport of fly fishing and organizations like the Native Fish Society. Kayla is also the Lead mentor for the Portland chapter of the Mayfly Project.
